The Governor of the State of Wisconsin, Tony Evers, paid a courtesy call on Chiba Governor Morita.

It was Governor Evers’ first visit to Chiba Prefectural Government Offices after assuming the post of the 46^th Governor of Wisconsin in January 2019.

After making welcome remarks, Governor Morita introduced that 2020 is the 30^th anniversary of their sister-state partnership, as well as his wish to continue the already lively culture, youth, and education exchanges into the future.

Governor Evers replied that he felt that the 30^th anniversary of the sister-state relationship between Chiba and Wisconsin is not just a relationship between the two regions, but of the two countries, Japan and the U.S. as a whole.
