The Governor of the State of Wisconsin, Tony Evers, paid a courtesy call on Chiba Governor Morita.
It was Governor Evers’ first visit to Chiba Prefectural Government Offices after assuming the post of the 46th Governor of Wisconsin in January 2019.

After making welcome remarks, Governor Morita introduced that 2020 is the 30th anniversary of their sister-state partnership, as well as his wish to continue the already lively culture, youth, and education exchanges into the future.
Governor Evers replied that he felt that the 30th anniversary of the sister-state relationship between Chiba and Wisconsin is not just a relationship between the two regions, but of the two countries, Japan and the U.S. as a whole.
