1) State of Emergency Extended

The highly contagious delta variant continues to cause a multitude coronavirus infections. This is a dangerous situation, as hospital bed availability is extremely tight. Please refrain from going to crowded places.

The state of emergency has been issued until September 30 in nineteen prefectures, including Chiba Prefecture. We are asking the residents of Chiba Prefecture for their continued cooperation in the following points:

  • Please refrain from nonessential outings. In particular, please do not go out after 8p.m. unless it is absolutely necessary.
  • Follow essential countermeasures such as wearing a mask when speaking, socially distancing yourself from others, and washing and disinfecting your hands.
  • Refrain from having conversations while eating.
  • Refrain from participating in any festivals or parties.

 

2) You are about to receive your COVID-19 Vaccination Voucher!
For foreign nationals who wish to get COVID-19 vaccination

Your local municipality is in the process of sending out a “COVID-19 Vaccination Voucher” and a “COVID-19 Vaccine Notification.”

Kindly make sure to open an envelope received from your local municipality with “コロナ(COVID-19)” and/or “Vaccine” written on it and check the enclosed documents.

You will NOT receive the Vaccination Voucher if you live in an address different from the address indicated on your residence card. In such a case, please go to the municipal office immediately and complete the procedures to change your address.

When you receive the COVID-19 Vaccination Voucher, kindly make a reservation and get vaccinated in accordance with the content of the COVID-19 Vaccine Notification.
