Chiba University School of Medicine
Department of Molecular Biology and Oncology started in 2005 as a cooperation program between Chiba Cancer Center Research Institute and the Graduate School of Chiba University School of Medicine. The main research subjects are to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying carcinogenesis, the biological properties of cancer cells and to apply our basic findings to translational research, development of new molecular-targeted drugs and cancer therapies. This program challenges students to perform research and pursue careers in science in a wide range of scientific in a unique incubator for a new generation of medical researchers in a fast-paced multidisciplinary yet integrated setting, among other physicians and bench-side scientists.
Faculty and Students
We welcome application from highly motivated students for both the two-year M.S. and four-year Ph.D. courses. Admitted students will enroll in Chiba University School of Medicine with one of the faculty members listed above as their thesis advisors.
