Summary:

  Department of Molecular Biology and Oncology” started in 2005 as the cooperation program between Chiba Cancer Center Research Institute and the Graduate School of Chiba University School of Medicine. The main research subjects are to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying carcinogenesis, the biological properties of cancer cells and to apply our basic findings to translational research, development of new molecular-targeted drugs and cancer therapies. The purpose of this department is to educate students to learn a wide range of scientific fields, to raise challenging spirit, to pursue scientific disciplines and to become successful in science, based on our instructional objectives.
